This is a major contribution to Pre-Columbian studies...a tight theme handled in excellent scholarly detail. The monograph presents much material that is new and certainly looks at it in a new way. The West Mexican-Ecuador/Peru contacts are of high importance in New World culture history. This pins them down beyond all doubt.
