FULLER, Blind Boy [Allen, Fulton] (b. Wadesboro, N.C., ca. 1909; d. Durham, N.C., 1941). Blues guitarist and singer.

HANDY, W(illiam) C(hristopher) (b. Florence, Ala., 1873; d. New York, 1958). Blues composer.

HOOKER, John Lee (b. Clarksdale, Miss., 1917). Blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter.

HOUSE, Son [Eddie James, Jr.] (b. near Clarksdale, Miss., 1902; d. Detroit, 1988). Blues singer and guitarist.

HOWLIN' WOLF [Burnett, Chester Arthur] (b. West Point, Miss., 1910; d. Hines, Ill., 1976). Blues singer, harmonica player, and guitarist.

HUNTER, Alberta (b. Memphis, 1895; d. New York, 1984). Blues and cabaret singer.
