About GSD Publications

Through Graduate School of Design research programs, faculty and students investigate a broad range of social, political, technical and aesthetic interests and issues related to design. An extensive publications program, including Harvard Design Magazine, Studio Works, conference proceedings and books on history, theory and the city, extends our reach to an international audience.

Books produced by the Graduate School of Design provide in-depth examinations of subjects featured in exhibitions and other programs. The series Studio Works documents the accomplishments of each studio of the previous academic year, as well as the thesis work of graduating students. Other books document works by outstanding practitioners. Additionally, the Harvard Design Magazine explores issues and realities significant to the built environment and the quality of life connected to it.

Select titles are distributed by Harvard University Press. FTo see a complete list of GSD books and magazines, visit the online Design School Bookstore.
