I seek and commission manuscripts in literary studies, literary and cultural history, and political thought. Both trade and scholarly submissions are welcome. In the areas of literary studies, my interests are broad: American, English, and world literature, modernism, history of criticism and theory, and the American publishing industry. Brian Boyd, Stephen Burt, Denise Gigante, Robert Douglas-Fairhurst, Marina Warner, and Helen Vendler are some of my authors. In the areas of politics, political philosophy, and social issues, I am interested in questions concerning globalization, democracy, and human dignity. My authors have included David Grewal, George Kateb, David Bromwich, Anne Norton, Jedediah Purdy, and Richard Sennett.
