I seek and commission manuscripts in the areas of literary studies, literary translations, and literary biography as well as politics and current affairs. Both trade and scholarly submissions are welcome. In the areas of literary studies, my interests are broad: American, English, and world literature, modernism, history of criticism and theory, and the American publishing industry. Brian Boyd, Stephen Burt, Patricia Meyer Spacks, and Helen Vendler are some of my authors. In the areas of politics, current affairs, and social issues, I seek political journalism as well as manuscripts that explore questions about globalization, democracy, and human dignity. My authors have included David Grewal, George Kateb, Anne Norton, Jedediah Purdy, and Richard Sennett.
