I acquire general interest and academic books across a wide range of history. I look for works with broad appeal and original arguments. Among the areas I cover are American history, environmental history, Atlantic history, European history, the modern Middle East, and East Asian and South Asian history. In American history I have a particular interest in early America, the U.S. West, and Native American history, as well as books that consider the United States in an international context. I also welcome book proposals for international history, military history, and biographies.
