International Availability

The majority of HUP books are available worldwide, but some titles are restricted from certain regions. Information about regional availability can be found in the right column of any individual book page in the “Book Details” section. You will also see a note if you view the book in your Shopping Cart (for example, “Not for sale in UK & British Commonwealth (except Canada)”) and you will be unable to complete the purchase of this book if your shipping address does not fall within an allowed region.

Harvard University Press titles in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Fiji are distributed by Footprint Books. We urge our customers in these countries to contact a local bookseller or place an order directly with Footprint.

Pricing and Taxes

U.S. customers in CA, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MN, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, RI, TX, VA, and WI will have appropriate sales tax added to their orders.

Customers in Canada will have a 5% GST automatically added to their orders. Harvard University Press’s GST registration number is printed on all shipped packages.

Customers in the European Union may be charged VAT at the appropriate national rate. Please include your registration number and any exemption details with your order.

Orders Shipping to the United Kingdom, Eire, Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa

Orders for the above regions are fulfilled by John Wiley & Sons Ltd. We are currently unable to offer an online payment option for these orders. Please complete the online checkout process by listing your complete contact information. The next business day following your order, a customer service representative from Wiley & Sons will email you a pro forma invoice that will confirm the details of your order and provide various payment options, including Giro transfer (Giro A/c number: GB 3140156) and credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club).

Customers from the United Kingdom are typically charged in British pounds sterling (£) but may request Euros (€) instead. Customers in the European Union will be charged in Euros (€). Customers outside the U.K. or E.U. will be charged in U.S. dollars ($).

Your order will be shipped after Wiley & Sons have processed your payment. If any items are unavailable, they will be recorded and you will be notified by email.

Orders received by 12:00 PM EST/EDT will generally ship by the following business day.

• Standard Delivery via UPS Ground: $4.50 for the first book plus $0.75 for each additional book. Orders will arrive approximately 7–10 business days after shipping date.
• Express Delivery via UPS 2nd Day: $12.50 per total order. Orders will arrive approximately 2 business days after shipping date.
• Express Delivery via UPS Next Day: $18.00 per total order. Orders will arrive approximately 1 business day after shipping date.

Canada

• Standard Delivery: US$4.50 for the first book plus US$1.00 for each additional book. APC Logistics Canada picks up three times weekly from our Rhode Island distribution center and transfers all packages to Canpar for delivery. Allow 7–10 days from invoice date for delivery.
• Express Delivery via international air courier: US$18.00 per book.

North America (except U.S. and Canada), South America, East Asia, and Pacific Islands

• Standard Delivery via surface mail: US$4.00 per book. Allow up to 3 months after ship date for delivery. Please note that items shipped Standard Delivery cannot be tracked.
