She is past editor of The Emily Dickinson Journal and past President of the Emily Dickinson International Society. Celebrated as one of the world’s leading scholars of Dickinson, she is the author of, among other books, Emily Dickinson: A Poet’s Grammar, which has been hailed as a major scholarly achievement.
