Photo of Charles S. CockellCharles Cockell is Professor of Astrobiology at the University of Edinburgh and former NASA and British Antarctic Survey scientist. A fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Explorers Club of New York, he is an advisor to NASA’s Center for the Utilization of Biological Engineering in Space (CUBES) and leads the Life Beyond project in prisons.
